Here are the steps to get free Twitch bits:

1. Use TwitchRPG surveys

TwitchRPG (Twitch Research Power Group) is an official hub of Twitch that works in the research and development of the Twitch ecosystem.

It typically researches to improve the Twitch features and develop new systems, make Twitch more diverse for its audience, and other things like voting on global emotes. TwitchRPG needs a huge dataset to conduct research. As such, it regularly asks its users to fill up surveys. Once you finish the survey, TwitchRPG will reward you with Twitch bits.

The amount of surveys you will receive depends on your location. Some regions get fewer surveys than others, while others might not get any surveys. TwitchRPG will send you invites via email to participate in a survey. A survey typically consists of 5-15 minutes of watching a stream then answering some questions.

Click on ‘Join our community’ to start the signup process.
Click on the Join button. Then click on Next.

Click on the Connect With Twitch button to connect the TwitchRPG account with Twitch.
Log in to Twitch if not already.
Click on the Authorize button to finish connecting the Twitch account with TwitchRPG.

Provide name, email, and password. Use an email that you regularly check to avoid missing out on any survey invites.
Verify the email then sign in to TwitchRPG.
Scroll down and check the Latest Activities section from the left of the Dashboard to see any ongoing surveys.
Wait for a survey invite. When you get a survey invite email, it will contain the details about the survey. It will also mention how many bits you will get as a reward.
Accept the survey invite and start the survey.
Go through the video carefully.
Answer the questions related to the video you just watched.

2. Use the Multiplayer Ad

Twitch removed the option where you could earn free bits through watching advertisements. Now Twitch is introducing Multiplayer Ads as an alternative to it.

Multiplayer Ads is a system where you can watch an ad live with other viewers. There will be a poll after the ad is over.

You would be able to choose your option or vote in the poll. You would also see in real-time what other viewers are voting for.

How To Donate Twitch Bits To Streamers?

Donating a Twitch bit to a streamer is relatively straightforward. But before that, there is something you need to keep in mind.

Only Twitch Affiliates and Twitch Partners can receive the Twitch bits donation as of now. So you need to ensure the streamer is either an Affiliate or a Partner.

Secondly, if you cannot donate Twitch bits, most likely, the streamer has not enabled the cheering feature. Twitch bits donation is made as part of cheering, so turning off cheer will disable Twitch bits donation too.

Open your browser and go to Twitch.
Open the channel of the streamer you want to contribute to.

Type the word ‘cheer’ followed by the number of bits you want to donate. For example, if you’re going to donate 500 bits, type ‘cheer500’.
Press Enter to donate the bits.
