You are typically allowed to import contact lists or groups with a .msg extension when someone dispatches a mail to you with the attached file.

  • Click on File and go to Open & Export from the left pane.

Once the loading is done, it will import all your contact information Within a few seconds. Go to My Contacts to view the imported lists.

Import Contact Group in Outlook 365/Web Client(OWA)

Outlook 365 and Outlook web app, also known as Outlook Web Access(OWA), have a much simpler process to import any contact group list. You can directly import a contact group sent as an attachment previously. But it has to be a CSV file.

Here are the steps to import the contact group list in Outlook 365 & web app (OWA):

  • Select the people icon from the left pane and access contacts. outlook-365-contacts
  • Click on Manage at the right, just below the top menu bar.
  • Choose Import contacts. 365-import-contacts
