Facebook is the largest social media platform in the world. Currently, they have 2.9 Billion monthly active users.
For content creators, a humongous platform such as this is heaven to share videos. You will get a large number of views, and it even reaches further when you boost the video. The more people the videos reach, the more views they will accumulate.
Videos here can get viral even faster than on the video-sharing giant YouTube. That’s why people often choose Facebook over YouTube. On Facebook, you can even go Live and share your content there.
You can see the share number or view number of your videos. But can you see who views your public videos on Facebook?
Let’s find it out in this article.
Can You See Who Viewed Your Facebook Videos?
Unfortunately, No. There is no method to see who viewed the videos you post on Facebook. The best you can see is the video’s number of views, but you can’t get the details about who viewed that video. Facebook doesn’t disclose this information to users.
As you already know, Facebook has a huge number of users. It is hard but not impossible for a tech giant like Facebook to implement the feature to let users know who viewed their videos.
Let me explain the situation in a real-life scenario.
Suppose one of your posted videos gets viral and has millions of views on Facebook. You may see the view number at the bottom right of that video. But will you look for who viewed your videos?
Of course not! No one has the time and patience to check every viewer. That’s why Facebook didn’t waste time and money researching and implementing this feature.
However, when someone reacts or comments on your videos, you can see who did that and indicate that the person viewed your videos. There is no other way to know who viewed your videos other than seeing from the reaction and comment section.
Note: Though being part of the same company Meta, Instagram offers users to see both who liked and viewed videos.
On the other hand, when you go Live from your account, you can see how many people are watching you at that moment. If someone from your friend list joins your live session, you will get a message stating the name in the reply section. You won’t get to see this message if someone outside of your friend list joins the chat.
However, you can see who is watching you when they leave replies. You will see the message along with their name on your screen.
These are the most you can do while the question is about seeing who viewed your Facebook videos. However, you can monitor your views from the Facebooks Insight section. Read the next section, where I’ll describe the view-checking method on Facebook.
